AI-Empowered Inclusive and Accessibility Design For CVD Population
"Imagine you're driving, cruising down the highway, and suddenly the traffic light ahead turns... well, you're not quite sure. It could be red, could be green, but to you, they both look almost identical. This is the reality for over 300 million people worldwide with color vision deficiency, or CVD"
Project time : 2024.08 - 2024.09

01
Now, why is AI the right tool for this? The challenge goes beyond red-green blindness. There are various types of CVD, each affecting color perception in unique ways. AI can learn and adapt to these individual differences, making the system highly personalized.
02
Beyond that, traffic signs, signals, and policies vary significantly between countries—colors, shapes, even symbols can change. AI can recognize these variations, understand regional nuances, and adjust the display in real time.
03
Our AI-powered HMI system is an adaptive tool designed to make driving safer and more intuitive for CVD individuals. By leveraging machine learning, it dynamically adjusts colors, patterns, and text to ensure critical information is always visible and distinct.
